First day reflections from OnBoard Observers

The Onboard Program is an initiative that brings together start-up boards and talented individuals who want to learn about governance and have a drive to contribute to New Zealand's startup community. The 2023 Cohort kicked off in May with an in-person workshop.

Some of the participants shared their thoughts on what excites them about the program after their first day. Let's dive into their perspectives:

I enjoyed the broad perspectives, which were shared very transparently by everyone in the workshop.
— Boyd
The great learning from today’s workshop was the collegiality within our cohort and the opportunity to learn from each other’s diverse experiences and knowledge.
— Chris
I enjoyed the level
of engagement from the presenters and everyone around the room. It was an incredible atmosphere with huge energy!
— Evan
The energy from the workshop leaders in sharing their passion for governance and really wanting to pass on that intel and education to inspire the next generation of governance leaders. I just love that!
— Sian

OnBoard is a platform for personal growth, with the goal of producing a pipeline of effective start-up directors from different backgrounds. The quality of both Host boards, Observers and the development outcomes lend to the program making a significant positive impact on New Zealand's startup ecosystem.
